Shiv Dani Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right here in Katra Chetiya. Tej Pratap Singh helps us keep things organized at his place. Most of us in this group have been farming these same plots of land since we were kids. It’s how it goes in this village. We decided to register as a company because it seemed like the right way to handle our harvests. It’s mostly about getting the seeds and the fertilizer together without too much trouble. We don't have a lot of big machines or anything. It's mostly just hands and old tractors. Sometimes the market prices are okay, and other times they aren't, so we try to help each other out. Dealing with the weather is always a gamble. We meet up when there’s a break in the work to talk about what we’re planting next. There isn't any fancy talk here. We just know the dirt and the seasons. The village life is slow, and we like it that way. Being part of this group just means we aren't alone when things get tough. We have our small office setup at the village address. If you're walking through Katra Chetiya, you’ll probably see us working. It's just a bunch of local farmers trying to do right by their families and the land we’ve got. We don't need much, just some fair weather and enough to keep the farm going next year. Everyone knows everyone else around here.
