Gyanmati Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited

Gyanmati Agro is based at number 114 in Ekdalla, Husainpur. We are a producer company, so it’s a group of us from the Gilant area. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning. Instead, we usually meet up near the village center or at someone's house to figure out the plan for the season. Everyone involved is a farmer first. We know what it’s like to worry about the rain not coming on time or the pests getting into the crops. Our work is about pooling our resources so we can all get a better deal. It’s not always easy because everyone has their own way of doing things. We have a lot of long discussions that sometimes turn into arguments, but we always figure it out in the end. We keep our records in a simple ledger and try to stay on top of the regulations. It’s a lot of manual work and walking between fields. We don't have any promotional slogans or big promises. We just want to make sure the food we grow gets to the market and we get a fair price for it. It’s a struggle sometimes, but doing it together makes it a bit easier. We are just local people working the land we grew up on, trying to make a living like everyone else.
