Makhanamithila Producer Company Limited

Our office is at House No 401 on Ekmiroad, which is in the Bahadurpur neighborhood. We are pretty close to the Indian Public School in Laheriasarai, so the road gets really crowded with kids and rickshaws in the morning. Makhanamithila Producer Company Limited started because the makhana growers around here needed a better way to get things done. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just stacks of bags and some basic desks where we try to keep the books straight. The walls could use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that drives us crazy, but we've gotten used to it. Dealing with makhana is messy work and takes a lot of patience. We spend a lot of our time just talking to people who come in from the nearby fields. My nephew helps with the computer stuff because the rest of us aren't very good at it. We don't have a big sign out front yet, just the address and people know who we are. Some days it feels like we aren't making much progress, but then we get a big load moved and it feels okay again. It is a local business run by local people who have lived in this part of Mithila their whole lives. We don't use any big words or complicated plans. We just take it one day at a time.
