Edify School

We are based on Nellikuppam Main Road in the Nellikuppam area of Cuddalore. The school building is right there on the main stretch, so it is easy to find, though the traffic can be a bit loud during the morning rush. It’s a typical school day for us most of the time. We arrive early to get the classrooms ready before the buses show up with all the kids. Cuddalore weather can be quite unpredictable, so some days are very humid and others are quite rainy, which makes the yard a bit of a mess to walk through. We don’t have a massive team, just local people working as teachers and helpers. The classrooms are simple with standard desks and boards that get a lot of use every single day. We spend a good chunk of our day just managing the students and making sure they are following the lessons. It is not always a perfect process. Things break, schedules get changed, and sometimes we run out of supplies. We just handle it as it happens. Lunchtime is when we all get a bit of a break, usually sitting in the staff room with our own food from home. By the time we wrap up in the 607105 area in the evening, we are all ready to head home. It is a steady job and we just try to do right by the families who live around Nellikuppam and send their kids here.
