Ayyanar Matric Higher Secondary School

Ayyanar Matric Higher Secondary School is located out in Veppur, right along the Cuddalore Nh-45. Being near the highway means we get a lot of trucks and buses passing by all the time. It is a very visible spot if you are traveling through this part of Cuddalore. The school has been part of the Veppur landscape for years. We have students coming from different parts of the district because of the highway access. The building is sturdy and sits back a bit from the main road so the noise isn't too bad during class time. We handle everything from the early years up to higher secondary. It’s a lot of work keeping track of so many students of different ages. The playground gets quite hot in the afternoons but the kids still like to run around. We don't have anything overly modern or stylish here. It’s a practical place for learning. The staff mostly lives around the Veppur area or commutes along Nh-45. Every morning is a bit of a rush with the school buses arriving and dropping off the children. We have our own way of doing things that works for the local families. The gate stays open during the start and end of the day, then we close it up to keep things quiet. It is just a steady, local school that has grown along with the traffic on the highway. We keep things simple and focus on the books we need to finish.
