Modern English High School

We are located in Dhanalakshmi Nagar, specifically in the Kirumambakkam area of Pondicherry. The address is pretty easy to find once you get into the neighborhood. The school is a simple building that has seen a lot of students pass through over the years. We have a gate that stays closed during the day to keep the younger ones from wandering out into the street. It’s quite bright and sunny here most of the year, so we have fans running in all the rooms to keep things comfortable. The classrooms have the standard rows of benches and a teacher’s desk at the front. We don’t have a lot of extra space, so every corner of the building is used for something, whether it’s storing old sports equipment or keeping extra chairs. The walls are painted a pale color that has faded a bit over time. During the rainy season, we have to keep an eye on the windows to make sure they are shut tight. We are just a local high school where the teachers know the students' names and everyone lives nearby. There’s nothing particularly special about the architecture, it’s just a solid place where people come to learn and work every day. We’ve become a regular part of the Kirumambakkam community and we just keep on going with our daily schedule.
