Dhava Amudham Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Dhava Amudham Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located on the Main Road in Chidambaram. It is a very busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise from the street. Our school building is right there in the middle of it all. We have students ranging from the very young ones to those finishing their higher secondary education. The halls are usually a bit crowded because we have quite a few students. We do not have a big fancy gate or a landscaped garden. It is just a school building that has grown over the years to fit more classrooms. The morning assembly happens in whatever space we can find. We focus heavily on the textbooks and the exams because that is what the parents here expect. There is not much room for a playground, so the kids just stay in the building or the small courtyard during their breaks. The teachers are hardworking and do not have much time for anything other than their lessons. We do not have a PR person or anyone to write glossy articles about us. We are just a local school trying to do a decent job for the families in Chidambaram. The office is always full of stacks of paper and old registers. It is a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It is a very real, unpolished place where learning happens every day in a simple and direct way.
