Government School

The Government School in Pannurutti is located in the Meliruppu area of Panruti, with the 607103 pincode. It’s a very simple place, much like many other schools in rural parts of Tamil Nadu. The building is basic, often just a few blocks of rooms with a wide veranda where kids can sit when it gets too hot inside. Being a government school, we work with what we have. The desks might be old and the walls could use some new paint, but the classrooms are always full of life. Outside, there’s plenty of open space where the children can run around under the trees. It’s a quiet area mostly, away from the big city noise, so you mostly hear the birds or the sound of someone passing by on a tractor. We have a small office where all the records are kept in big paper bundles. The teachers here often travel from nearby towns to get to work. It’s a place where the local community feels involved; you’ll see parents stopping by to talk to us under the shade of a tree. We don’t have any fancy technology or modern labs, just the basic tools for teaching. It’s an honest kind of place where the focus is just on the kids and their daily lessons. We do our best with the resources we are given in Meliruppu. It is just a humble school serving the local village families.
