We’ve been here at Old No 245, which is now New No 09, on Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road for a good while. Tatabad is a busy area, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. Our place isn't anything fancy. It's just where we handle the Yaanee Fashions stuff every day. The building has seen some years, but it stays cool enough when the fans are running. Most days start with opening the shutters and checking the stock that came in late the night before. We have a few tables set up for sorting things out. People around here know us mostly by the sign or just because they walk past us every day to the main road. The traffic outside can get loud, but we’re used to the honking and the buses. Sometimes we stand out front for a bit to get some air. We don’t really do much big talking about what we do, we just get on with the sewing and the packing. The dust settles on the shelves if we don’t wipe them down every morning. It's a regular workplace with regular people. We have a tea shop nearby where we go when things get a bit slow. Usually, it's just about making sure the orders are ready and the piles of cloth are in the right spot. It’s a simple routine that repeats from Monday to Saturday until the sun goes down and we head home.
