Imperial Knitters

You can find Imperial Knitters tucked right behind the Kvb Bank in Sv Colony. Our address is a bit long to write out, officially 4(30/23 Jothi Nagar 1St Street, right on P.N. Road here in Tirupur. If you know this area at all, you know it’s the heart of the garment and knitting business. We have our machines running most of the day and sometimes late into the evening. It’s noisy and there is always a bit of lint floating in the air, but that’s how a knitting unit is supposed to be. We make various kinds of fabric and some basic clothes. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of workers, just a decent-sized workshop with a group of people who know how to handle the needles and the yarn. Some of us have been doing this type of work since we were young. We don’t have a big corporate office or a lobby with fancy chairs. Our space is filled with huge rolls of cloth and stacked cardboard boxes ready for shipping. We spend a lot of time checking for small holes or any mistakes in the knit. If something isn't right, we just fix it or start the whole batch over. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night. We take orders from local shops and some exporters who need specific fabrics. We don’t do much advertising at all. People just know where we are located behind the bank. It’s a simple life at Imperial Knitters.
