Our place is over at Mala’S Cottage in Padmalaya Nagar. It is down in N.S.N. Palayam here in Coimbatore. We deal with clothes, mostly. It is not a big factory with thousands of loud machines, just a steady operation running out of the cottage area. You can hear the hum of the work from the street sometimes if the windows are open. We spend a lot of time looking at different fabrics and checking the stitches. It is dusty work, and your back gets a bit sore after a long shift, but that is the garment business for you. Coimbatore has a lot of history with textiles, so we are just one small part of that bigger picture. The office is tucked away, so it is fairly quiet except for when the delivery trucks come by to pick up the boxes. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy signs. Most of our focus goes into making sure the shirts and trousers are packed correctly before they leave. Sometimes we run late when a big order needs to go out, but we manage. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other pretty well. It feels more like a neighborhood spot than a big corporation. We don't have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just make the clothes, pack them up, and move on to the next batch. It is what we do every day.
