Our place, Vijays Steels, is located right on Talam Road at number 1071. R.S. Puram is a busy area, and there's always something going on outside the gate. We deal with steel items every day, mostly stuff for local building projects or small repairs people are doing around their houses. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around the yard. Sometimes it gets pretty dusty out there, especially when the wind picks up on Talam Road. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us by name. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we keep our stock and handle the daily orders that come in. Most mornings start with checking what’s left in the yard and seeing what needs to be moved. The metal can get hot in the sun, so we try to get the heavy work done early if we can. People stop by to ask about sizes or just to see what we have in stock at the moment. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine and keep things moving. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty by the end of the day, but that’s just how it goes with steel. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy yard, there’s always something that needs tidying up or a truck that needs loading. It is what it is.
