Vijay Eng Corp

You can find us over on 8th Street in Gandhipuram. We have been working out of this spot for quite a few years now. Most days start around nine when the shutters go up and the dust from the street starts coming in. It is a busy area with a lot of noise from the nearby shops and the traffic always moving toward the bus stand. Inside Vijay Eng Corp, it is mostly just us dealing with the machines and making sure the orders are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up later. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. There are a few plastic chairs if someone needs to sit down while we finish a task. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon and the smell of oil is pretty much everywhere. It is just the way an engineering place is supposed to be. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon so we just sit outside and talk for a bit until it comes back. Our neighbors know us well and we often share tea from the guy at the corner. We focus on the work at hand and don't spend much time on decorations. If you walk down the lane you will see our sign, though it has faded a bit over the summers. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
