Shanthi Gears Limited

We are located at No. 304-A on Shanthi Gears Road in Singanallur. The road is actually named after the company, which is a bit funny when you think about it. This place is all about manufacturing and heavy machinery. We make gears, and that means the floor is usually a bit oily and there is a constant hum from the machines. It’s a large facility, but at the end of the day, it’s just a group of people working with metal. We’ve been in Singanallur for a long time. Many of us have worked here for years, so we’ve seen the area change around us. It’s a noisy environment, but you get used to the sound of the cutters and grinders after a while. We wear our work clothes and don't worry too much about looking polished. The focus is always on the metal and the precision of the teeth on the gears. It’s honest, hard work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes the heat from the forging is a bit much, but we just get on with it. We don't have a lot of corporate meetings. Most of our talking happens on the factory floor over the noise of the fans. It’s a solid business rooted in this part of town, and we take some pride in just doing the job right.
