Ess Vee Engineers

Down in Malumachampatti, you can find Ess Vee Engineers at No. 4A-1 Sri Guru Nagar. We're right on Nehru College Road, so there are always students and buses passing by. Our workshop is a bit cluttered with parts and tools we've collected over the years. We do a lot of mechanical work and small-scale engineering jobs. It’s a hands-on kind of place. You won't find anyone in a tie here. Most of us have grease under our fingernails by lunch. We started this shop because there weren't many places nearby that could handle custom repairs for the local machinery. The building is older, and it gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have a few good fans. We spend a lot of time measuring things and staring at blueprints. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, especially if the parts are hard to find. We try to be fair with everyone who walks in. It’s not a big corporate firm with a lobby and a receptionist. You just walk into the shop and talk to whoever isn't under a machine. We've been part of the Sri Guru Nagar community for a while, and we know most of the other shop owners on this stretch. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know how to do.
