Down in Peelamedu, you’ll find Vetri Engineers in Lal Bhadur Colony. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads of Coimbatore, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on engineering work. We’ve been here at number 52 for a long time. People around here know us as the guys who are always messing with machines and metal. Engineering sounds like a big, fancy word, but for us, it’s mostly just about solving problems and making things fit together properly. We spend a lot of time looking at drawings and then trying to make those drawings real. Sometimes it works the first time, and sometimes we have to go back and try again. That’s just the nature of the work. Our floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We have a few machines that have been with us since we started. They aren't new, but they work well because we take care of them. The team here is small, mostly locals who have been doing this kind of thing for years. We don't have a big front office with a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just find one of us in a pair of overalls. We do what we do, we charge a fair price, and we hope the stuff we build lasts a long time. It’s simple, honest work that we do every day.
