We are located at Vetri House, right near Hopes College. It’s a pretty well-known landmark in the area, so we usually just tell people to look for the college. Vetri Engineers started out as a small operation and we’ve stayed that way for the most part. The building is an old house that we converted into an office and workshop space. It has a bit of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. Students from the college are always walking past, so there’s a lot of energy in the street. Inside, it’s mostly just us surrounded by blueprints and parts. We don't have a big reception area or a secretary. Usually, if the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We do a lot of technical work, but we try to explain things in a way that makes sense to everyone. It’s a hands-on kind of place. You’ll often find us with grease on our hands or hunched over a drawing. We’ve been at this for years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. New shops come and go, but Vetri House is still standing. We like being near the college because it keeps things lively. We aren't interested in being a corporate giant. We just like solving mechanical problems and keeping our regular customers happy. It’s a simple life at the workshop and we prefer it that way.
