Down on Marutha Konar Street, specifically at No. 52 in Velandipalayam, you’ll find our workshop. We do general engineering work, which usually means a lot of metal, noise, and grease. It’s a busy spot. Most of the time we are busy with repairs or making small parts that people can't find anywhere else. The machines have been with us for years and they still run fine if you know how to handle them. We get a lot of walk-ins from local shops and people with broken equipment. It’s the kind of place where your hands stay dirty all day. We don't spend much time on paperwork because there is always something that needs welding or turning on the lathe. The floor is concrete and covered in metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. It gets hot in the afternoons, but that’s just part of working in a machine shop. We take on whatever comes through the door, whether it’s a small fix or something that takes a few days. We don't have a big office or a reception desk. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't currently running a machine. We've been in this part of Velandipalayam for a good bit now. It’s a loud, productive environment where things actually get made. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get it done right so the customer can get back to their own work without waiting too long.
