Sanma Knit Fashions

Our place is over at 146, 2Nd Street in Sri Pathi Nagar. Sanma Knit Fashions is tucked away in the Velampalayam area of Tirupur. If you know this part of India, you know it's all about the clothes and the fabric. We have the machines running pretty much all day long. It gets a bit warm in the workshop, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in a knitting unit. We handle a lot of orders, mostly knits. There are stacks of fabric everywhere you look. Some are bright colors, others are just plain white. The staff here knows their way around a sewing machine and the cutting tables. It’s not a quiet place. You hear the hum of the motors and the sound of people talking over the noise. We’ve been at this address for some time. The street outside is usually busy with small trucks loading up boxes to go to the port or other cities. We don't spend money on fancy signs. We just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the counts are correct. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we take a break then. We keep a simple routine. Get the raw material, do the work, and pack it up. It’s just us doing what we know how to do without any fuss. The work gets done and we go home.
