Vectra Engineers

Vectra Engineers is over at No 501, right near the Kundru Perumal Kovil on Thadagam Road in Kanuvai. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers sometimes, which is a nice change from the sound of our own machines. Thadagam Road is a main artery, so there’s always a flow of bikes and buses passing by. Our workshop is a practical space where we deal with all the engineering stuff. It’s got high ceilings and wide doors to let in whatever breeze we can get. We’ve got benches lined up with various tools and some equipment that’s been with us since we started. The floor is stained with oil in a few places, but that’s expected in this line of work. We aren’t corporate types; we’re just people who like fixing and making things. Kanuvai is a good neighborhood, and we’ve gotten used to the daily pace here. Sometimes it gets dusty when the wind blows off the road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the delicate parts. We don't have a big office staff. Usually, it’s just us out on the floor getting things sorted. It’s a simple life of measuring, cutting, and fitting things together at the 501 address. We just do the work and try to stay out of the midday sun when it gets too intense.
