Vasavi Steels

We are situated at No. 48 on Stanes 2nd Street in the Oddakadu area. It’s just off Avinashi Road, which is always busy with cars and trucks. Our yard is full of steel beams and rods of all sizes. Dealing with steel is heavy work, and it’s not very clean. We spend most of our time out in the sun moving things around with the crane. The office is just a small room with a desk and a few chairs for when customers come to pay. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. The clanging of metal is something you get used to after a while. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a muddy mess, but we keep working through it. We aren’t interested in being the biggest steel supplier, just a reliable one for the local builders. People know they can come here and get their orders without too much fuss. We don’t have any polished brochures. We just show you the stacks of steel and give you a price. Avinashi Road is a good spot for us because it’s easy for the big lorries to get in and out. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We just keep doing what we do every morning when the gate opens and the first truck pulls up. It’s honest work that keeps the neighborhood growing.
