Saa Apparel

Saa Apparel is based out at SF No 105. It’s not in the middle of a big city center, so it’s a bit different out here. We have our space set up for the apparel work we do every day. There are usually stacks of fabric sitting around and the sound of machines running in the background. It is a simple place where we focus on getting the clothes put together correctly. Most of us have been working with textiles for a long time, so we just know the routine by heart now. The building is basic and does the job for what we need. We spend our mornings checking the latest batches and making sure things are moving along. It can get pretty busy when a big order comes in, but we just keep our heads down and work through it. The lighting is bright so we can see the stitching clearly. Sometimes we have tea together near the entrance when things quiet down for a few minutes. We don’t really bother with big signs or fancy offices because that’s not what we are about. We just handle the apparel side of things from this spot. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of different sizes and colors. The air usually smells a bit like new cloth and thread. We’ve been at this for a while and the location works well for getting materials in and out without too much trouble. It is what it is.
