Universal Machines

We operate Universal Machines out of 8/42D in the Sangeetha Compound, which is located in the Mettu Thottam area of Chinnavedampatti. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but once you find the compound, we’re right there. The workshop is usually a hive of activity. We have several different machines set up, and there’s always the rhythmic sound of things being cut or shaped. It’s not a sterile environment; there are metal shavings on the floor and oil on some of the surfaces. That’s just the nature of working with machines. We don’t have a fancy website or a big sales team. Most of our day is spent actually on the floor, making sure the machines are running correctly. Chinnavedampatti has a lot of these little industrial pockets, and the Sangeetha Compound is one of them. We know the other folks working in the compound, and there’s a sense of community among us. We talk about the weather or the local news while we’re out taking a quick break. The space we have is functional and serves its purpose. We don’t spend money on expensive decorations or nice furniture. Our focus is purely on the mechanical side of things. If you come by, you might have to shout a little over the noise, but we’ll hear you. It’s just a regular, hard-working machine shop that’s been part of this neighborhood for a good while.
