Unique Apparels

We are located at No. 118/2 Vathiar Thottam, right here in Karumarampalayam. It's near Uthukuli and Mannarai P.O., so it's a bit tucked away if you don't know the area. Unique Apparels is a local business. We make clothes. The workshop is usually humming with the sound of machines and people talking. It’s not a quiet place, but that’s how it is when you’re busy making things. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn’t too bad, except when it rains and the roads get a bit muddy. We’ve been at this for a while. It’s not fancy work, but it’s honest. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and making sure the stitching is okay. We aren't a big factory; we’re more of a close-knit group. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoons and talk about what’s going on in the neighborhood. The Karumarampalayam area has changed a lot since we started, with more buildings going up, but our little spot is still pretty much the same. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone like that. We just do the work and hope people like what we make. It’s a straightforward business. We try to keep the place organized, but with all the fabric and thread everywhere, it can be a bit of a challenge. If you're in the Mannarai area, you'll find us easily enough.
