Udumalai Steels Corporation

Udumalai Steels Corporation is located at No 6 and 7 in the Bashir Ahamed Layout. It is right off the Tirupur Road, so you can imagine the noise and the dust we deal with every single day. The trucks are always rumbling past and sometimes it feels like the whole building shakes when the heavy ones go by. We have been in this spot for a while now and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever found the time. It is not a fancy place by any means. We just have our desks and the space to store what we need. Most of our morning is spent just trying to get the shutters up and seeing what the day brings. The guys from the other units in the layout usually stop by to chat or complain about the traffic on the main road. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons here, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop. We usually just keep the fans going and keep working through it. There is a small place down the road where we get our tea. Sometimes the orders get backed up and we stay late, but that is just how it goes when you are running a business in a place like this. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to get the work done and go home to our families at the end of the day.
