Twin Birds

Down here at No. 2/641 Ncc House on Mangalam Road, things move at their own pace. Being in the Andipalayam P O area means it’s a bit away from the main city rush, which is fine by us. Twin Birds is where we spend our time, and the building has been our base for a good bit. We open up early, usually before the heat really kicks in. The road outside can get dusty with the trucks passing through, but the air is different than in the center. We have our desks and our gear, and we just get on with it. Sometimes we have a quiet morning where only the birds are making noise outside. Other times, it’s a lot of running around to get things sorted before the post goes out. It isn’t some high-tech office with a lobby; it’s just our workspace where we know where everything sits. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. It’s more about the practical side of things, making sure we stay organized. The neighbors are mostly other local businesses, and we all kind of do our own thing. There is a tea stall down the road where we go when we need a break from the paperwork. The sound of our metal shutters opening in the morning is the start of another long day. It’s a steady kind of life here on Mangalam Road, and that suits us just fine.
