Tubeknit Fashions Ltd.

Our place is at No. 1 in the Ckk Industrial Complex. It’s right on Dharmapuram Road. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always trucks coming and going. Tubeknit Fashions Ltd. has been operating out of this unit for some time. Inside, the machines are pretty much always running. It’s not the quietest environment, but we’re used to it by now. We have a small office section where the paperwork gets done, but most of the action is on the floor. The floors are concrete and the ceilings are high. During the summer, it gets quite warm in the complex. We keep the big doors open to let the air circulate. Everyone knows their job and just gets on with it. We don't have many visitors, mostly just delivery drivers and technicians. There is a small tea stall just down Dharmapuram Road where we go for breaks. It’s a simple operation. We focus on getting the knitting and garment work finished. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Just a bunch of workers and some managers trying to keep everything moving. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to finish. That’s just part of the job. It’s steady work and we like being in this part of the city. The noise of the machines is like a heartbeat for the building after all these years.
