Kaviya Exports

Our workshop is at No. 11 in the Parapalyam area, right off Mangalam Road in Tirupur. If you know Tirupur, you know it’s the place to be for this kind of garment work. We’ve been here for a good amount of time. The building is simple and practical, just like the work we do. We don't have any of those modern glass windows or fancy carpets. It’s a concrete floor and a lot of workstations lined up. We deal with exports, so there are always big boxes being taped up and labels being stuck on for shipping. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons during the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get through the day. There’s always a truck waiting to be loaded or unloaded on the street outside. Mangalam Road is usually packed with vehicles, so we have to time things right with the loading. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees or anything like that. We are just a local team doing our best to get the orders out on time. Sometimes things get delayed or a machine breaks down, and we have to fix it ourselves with whatever tools we have. It’s a lot of hands-on work and not much sitting around in chairs. We like the neighborhood and the people around here are mostly doing the same kind of work, so we help each other out when we can.
