G. M. Knits

G. M. Knits is based out of Site No. 14 in Srivenkatachalapathy Nagar. We’re in the Devampalayam area of Avinashi, which is part of Tiruppur. As anyone knows, Tiruppur is all about the textile business, and we are just one small part of that massive machine. Our location is a bit away from the main city chaos, which is actually quite nice. We have a decent-sized space where we focus on knitwear. The air is often filled with the smell of new fabric and the sound of knitting machines doing their thing. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of employees; we’re a smaller group of people who know how to handle the machines and the material. Some of us have been working with knits for years, so it’s second nature by now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is usually covered in lint, but that’s a real textile unit for you. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see someone busy at a table or checking a machine. We just focus on getting the knitting done and making sure the quality is what it needs to be for our customers. It’s basic, hard work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. It's just what we do every day to keep the business going and pay the bills.
