Evit Knitters

Evit Knitters is located at No. 5 Theivannai Ammal Layout Extension. This is in the Perichipalayam East area, just off Dharapuram Road in Tirupur. If you know Tirupur, you know it’s all about the knitting and the textiles. We are right in the middle of it. Our place is a bit down the lane, away from the main road noise. It is a functional building with high ceilings to help keep it cool. We have our machines set up on the ground floor. It’s usually quite loud when everything is running. We produce a lot of knitwear here. The layout extension is mostly other small units like ours. We’ve been here for quite a while now. Most of the people working here live nearby. We don't have any big corporate structure. It’s just us and the machines. Sometimes we have issues with the yarn delivery being late, and we just have to adjust our schedule. The office part is just a small cabin with a desk and some chairs for visitors. We don't really do fancy meetings. Usually, we just stand around the machines and talk about what needs doing. It’s honest work. Tirupur is a busy hub, and we are just one small part of that big machine. We keep it simple and just focus on the knitting. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually take our breaks.
