Akshaya Traders

Down on Kambar Street in Ammapalyam, you’ll find us working away. Tirupur is famous for this kind of work, and Akshaya Traders is just one of many businesses in the area doing its part. We are mostly focused on the trading side of things, so our space is filled with boxes ready to be sent out. It’s not the most beautiful street, but it’s practical for moving goods in and out. The trucks have a hard time turning the corners sometimes, which leads to a lot of shouting and horn-honking outside our doors. Inside, we are usually busy with the weigh scales and the tape dispensers. We spend a lot of hours checking the invoices against what is actually in the cartons. It’s repetitive work, but it needs to be done right so the customers don't complain. The walls of our place are a bit scuffed from all the boxes being pushed against them. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the back with a cup of tea or checking a shipment. It is a local operation through and through. We know the other traders on Kambar Street, and we often help each other out when someone is short on packing material or needs a hand with a heavy load. It’s a tight-knit community here in Ammapalyam, and we just do our jobs day in and day out without much fuss.
