We are over at No. 60 on the First Cross in Kalampalayam. It is a decent spot tucked away from the heaviest traffic. Tirupur Clothing Pvt Ltd is where we spend our working hours. We have been in this building for some time now and it feels like home to most of the crew. The space is filled with the sound of machines running and people calling out to each other over the noise. It is a practical setup with no wasted space. We have tables for cutting and rows of machines for the stitching. It isn't a place for meetings in suits or anything like that. We mostly wear comfortable clothes and stay busy with the fabric. Kalampalayam First Cross is a narrow enough street that we have to be careful when moving materials in and out. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat, which is nice. We don't have a huge office with a view, just windows that look out onto the street. Most of our staff are local people who have been doing this kind of work for years. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the shop. We would rather just have good working lights and machines that don't break down. It is a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound more complicated than it is. We just show up and do the work that is waiting for us.
