Nova Garments

Nova Garments is right on M. T. P. Road, specifically at No. 2/ 235 C. We are just across from Vijay Hospital, which makes it easy for people to find us if they are looking. We have the first and second floors, so there is a lot of going up and down the stairs all day long. The first floor is where we keep most of the finished clothes and the second floor is where a lot of the actual sewing happens. It gets pretty hot up there in the afternoons because of the roof, so we have a lot of fans going. You can hear the traffic from the main road all the time, but we’ve gotten used to the honking and the buses. We have a lot of fabric rolls sitting around in different colors, mostly cottons and some synthetics too. It’s a busy place with a lot of people coming in to check on their orders. We don't really have a showroom or anything, it's more of a workspace where things are constantly moving. Sometimes we have a bit of a mess with all the thread and needles on the floor, but we clean it up at the end of every day. We just try to keep up with the work and make sure the sizes are what they should be before everything is bagged up. The stairs are narrow so we have to be careful when carrying big bundles down to the street.
