Thiruvapathi Engineering Works

We are located right on Pollachi Main Road in Echanari, just near the Kpm School. It gets pretty loud here during the day with the traffic passing by and the kids being let out of school. Our shop is at 652/4A. We spend most of our time at the benches or working the machines. Some of us have been doing this for many years now. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we always have a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep things moving. It’s a hot place in the summer but we have a few fans going. People stop in because they see the sign while driving toward Pollachi. We usually have some tea around four o’clock when the sun starts to go down a bit. There’s always a project half-finished on the floor. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that, just a workshop where we get things done. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. We know most of the people on this stretch of road. The neighbors are good people. We keep the doors open most of the time so the air flows through. It’s a simple setup we have here. We mostly just focus on the job at hand and try to stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the guys paid.
