Thirumalesh Garments

It’s been a while since we set up here on Kumar Appapuram 5th Street. We handle our daily operations at No. 11/16, which is a fairly busy spot in Rayapuram. Most days start early for us. We get the machines running and folks come in to check on things before the heat gets too bad. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where the work gets done. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with deliveries, but we manage somehow. My family helps out with the small stuff too. We have seen many changes in the neighborhood over the years. The building is a bit old but it still holds up well for what we need. We focus on getting the orders finished on time without making much of a fuss. It is mostly about keeping things steady and making sure the neighbors aren’t too bothered by the noise of the machines. People around here know us as the place near the corner. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. Just the name Thirumalesh Garments on the door is enough. It is hard work, standing for long hours, but it is what we do. We usually close up late in the evening when the sun is down. There is always a lot of thread and scraps to clean up at the end of every shift. We like the local vibe of Rayapuram. It feels like home after all this time. We just keep our heads down and work.
