Thanushre Knit Garments

Out here on Ranganatha Puram No. 2 Street, things are always a bit dusty and busy. We are near Kongu Main Road in Tirpur, which means there is constant noise from trucks and other garment shops nearby. At Thanushre Knit Garments, we spend most of our hours around the machines. It is not a quiet job. The air usually smells like lint and cotton. We have been at this address for a while and the building has seen better days, but it works for what we do. Our street is narrow, so when a big load of fabric arrives, everything kind of stops for a minute while we unload. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we cut, sew, and pack things up. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps during lunch when it is not too hot. Tirpur is a tough place to work because everyone is doing the same thing, but we just focus on our own piles of shirts or whatever we are making that week. If you walk down from Kongu Main Road, you will find us easily enough. It is just a regular shop doing regular work every day.
