Suryaprakaas Foundry

We have been at No. 73 in the Sidco Industrial Estates for quite some time now. Most days it is pretty loud around here with the machines running and the heat from the furnaces. Being a foundry means dealing with a lot of sand, metal, and heavy molds. It is not the cleanest job, but it is what we know how to do. Some of us have worked here for years and we just get on with the daily tasks of casting parts. People around the estate know where we are. We don't really do much fancy talk. Most of our time goes into checking the pours and making sure the metal is right. It gets very hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but that is just part of the work at Suryaprakaas Foundry. We handle various types of metalwork depending on what is needed that week. The floor is always busy with someone moving something or grinding down a rough edge. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It's a straightforward place. We just focus on getting the orders ready and loaded onto the trucks. There isn't much to say about the office side of things because most of the action happens out on the shop floor where the real work is. We’ve seen the industrial estate change over the years, but our spot remains the same. It is just a group of people doing a hard day's work.
