Our business is located at No. 21/23 on Venkatachalapathy Elementary School Street. We are right in the middle of Kongunagar. Having a school on the street means it gets very noisy and crowded when the kids are coming in or going home, but it’s a nice kind of energy. For the rest of the day, it’s a pretty quiet neighborhood. Our building is a simple one-story structure where we do all our sewing and packing. It is an old place, but it works for us. We have a big table in the center where we lay out the fabric and cut it into the right shapes. Along the walls, we have a row of machines that are usually running for most of the day. Neighbors often stop by to say hello or to see what we are working on this week. We have lived and worked in Kongunagar for a long time, so we are a familiar face to most people around here. We don’t have any big plans to expand or move to a fancy office. We are happy just keeping the machines running and making sure the clothes we produce are decent. The work is steady and we like the simple routine of it. We open up early, have some tea, and get to work before the heat of the day starts. It’s just a normal part of the community.
