Srinivasa Garments

We are over at No. 8/346 in Pandian Nagar, specifically on 6th Street in Ponnammal Nagar. Srinivasa Garments has been our little corner for a long time now. If you are looking for us, we are in the Pooluvapatti area. It’s a busy neighborhood and there’s always something going on outside. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the street, just a regular building where we get our work done. We spend most of our hours hunched over the sewing tables. The noise of the needles is something you just get used to after a while. My cousin works here with me, and we have a few other local people who help out when we get a big order in. We don't have any big missions or fancy talk. We just want to finish the work and get home to our families. Sometimes the fabric deliveries are late and that messes up our schedule, but we manage. We drink a lot of tea from the stall at the corner to keep us going through the afternoon slump. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and cloth by the end of the day. We sweep it up and start again the next morning. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we are glad to be part of this community. We aren't trying to change the world, just making clothes.
