You’ll find Sri Velavan Steels & Hardwares at 93/2 on Sathy Main Road. We’re right in Saravanampatti, which is a busy area with plenty of people moving around. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things, from heavy steel rods to small boxes of nails. It’s a bit crowded in here, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. The Sathy Main Road stays busy from morning till night, so there’s always a bit of noise from the buses and cars. We open up the shutters early every day. Our regulars are mostly local builders and people fixing up their own homes. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just shelves and racks and piles of metal. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with iron filings or bits of packing material, but we sweep it out when we can. We've kept this shop going for many years, and it’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy stuff and moving it around for customers. We don't have a marketing department or a sales team. It’s just us behind the counter. We talk to people, figure out what they need for their projects, and get it for them. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way of doing things. We like being part of the Saravanampatti community. It feels good to see the buildings going up around here using the materials we’ve supplied.
