Sri Siva Steel

Our place is Plot No. 18/971 on Muthur Road, right in Kongu Nagar. Sri Siva Steel isn’t a huge operation, just a local business trying to do right by the people who come through our doors. We handle a lot of steel products, from basic structural pieces to smaller items for home repairs. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually have the shutters halfway down to keep the heat out. It’s a bit cluttered inside because we try to keep as much in stock as possible. You never know what someone might need on a Tuesday morning. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the guys who drive the transport lorries. We share a cup of tea while they’re waiting for their paperwork. There’s a lot of noise from the road, but we don’t mind it much anymore. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. It’s just me and a couple of helpers making sure the orders are filled. We check the scales carefully and make sure the bundles are tied tight. It's practical, everyday work. Some days are long, especially when the weather is bad and we have to cover everything up with tarps. But at the end of the day, we’ve done our job and provided what was asked for.
