Our shop is tucked away at No. 13/19 in Sri Valli Nagar. We’ve been doing engineering work here in Avarampalayam for quite some time now. It’s mostly metalwork and fixing parts that people bring in. The machines keep running from morning until late in the evening. Sometimes it gets pretty noisy with all the cutting and welding going on around here. You won't find a big corporate setup here. It’s just a small team of us who know how to handle the lathes and the drills. Most of the folks who come by are regulars from the neighborhood or nearby industries. They bring in a hand-drawn sketch or a broken part, and we see what can be done to fix it. It’s dusty work, and our hands are usually covered in oil by lunchtime. That’s just how it is in a machine shop. We don’t spend much time on the computer; we’d rather be at the workbench getting things done. Avarampalayam has a lot of small shops like ours, so we just try to do a solid job so people come back. Dealing with steel and iron is what we know best. Sometimes we have to figure out a tricky fix for an old piece of equipment that's seen better days. That takes a lot of patience. We just keep things moving and try to stay busy every day. If you walk down the lane in Sri Valli Nagar, you’ll hear the grinders going. That’s us.
