Sri Rasappan Engineering

Our workshop is located at 1/10 Thondamuthur Road in Lakshmi Nagar, which is over in the Vadavalli area. It’s a practical space where we deal with all sorts of engineering tasks. We’ve been here for a while, and the place looks like a real workshop should, with bits of metal and various tools scattered around the benches. It’s often a bit greasy and there is usually the sound of a machine running or someone hammering something into place. We handle a lot of different repairs and small fabrication jobs that people bring in. Vadavalli has grown a lot, but Thondamuthur Road is still a main way for people to travel, so we get a good amount of work from folks passing by. We don’t really have an office staff; it’s mostly just us working with our hands. If someone comes in, we might have to finish what we are doing before we can talk to them. It’s honest work and we take it as it comes. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings on it by the end of the day. We try to keep things organized, but when you have five different jobs going on at once, it’s hard to keep it perfect. We just focus on getting the machines fixed or the parts made so the customers can get back to their own work. It is a busy, dusty life here.
