Sri Ram Engineering Works

Sri Ram Engineering Works is situated at No. 699/700/1 on the Mettupalayam Main Road, which is quite a busy stretch of road near the K. Vadamadurai Post Office. You can’t miss us because there is usually some metal work happening right near the entrance. We have been here for a long time and the building shows its age a bit, but the machines inside are what matter. We do a lot of turning, milling, and general repair work for various machine parts. The grease on our hands never really comes off fully, but that is part of the job. The traffic outside is always humming, especially with the buses going towards Mettupalayam. Inside, it’s a mix of clinking metal and the hum of the lathes. We don't really do much advertising because most people around here already know where we are. They bring in broken shafts or gear parts that need fixing. We take our time to measure things properly because a small mistake means the part won't fit back into the machine. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a longer break when the sun is at its highest. There are stacks of raw iron and steel rods in the corner waiting to be used. It is a straightforward engineering shop where we focus on getting the dimensions right and getting the jobs finished for the local factories.
