Sri Murugan Grill Works

If you walk down towards 9-A in Balaji Nagar, you will find us working away at Sri Murugan Grill Works. We are based in the Chokkampudur area of Telungupalayam, and it is a pretty active part of town to be in. The shop is usually full of iron rods and various grill pieces waiting to be put together. My hands are almost always covered in a bit of soot or dust from the metal, but I do not mind it much. It is a practical job and it keeps me occupied from morning until evening. The neighbors know us well since we have been at this spot for a long time. We do not use any big machines that make too much of a fuss, just the regular tools needed for grill work. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit difficult when we are moving heavy pieces around, but we manage. The street outside can get a little cramped with parked scooters and people walking by, but that is just how life is in Telungupalayam. We do not put on any acts here; it is just a place where we do what we know how to do. The workspace is a bit cluttered with scraps and offcuts, but we know where everything is. It feels good to see a finished piece of work leaning against the wall at the end of a long day. We are just a local shop trying to do our bit.
