Sri Angalamman Garments

Our place, Sri Angalamman Garments, is tucked away on 1st Street in Lakshmi Nagar. We are right near JV Tapes, which is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. The address is No. 14/47, and it’s a typical street where everyone knows each other. We spend most of our hours surrounded by sewing machines and stacks of cut fabric. It gets pretty loud when everything is running at once, but we’re used to it by now. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and cloth by the end of the shift. We don't have a big corporate lobby. Instead, there’s just a small area where we talk to visitors and show them what we’re working on. It’s a family-style environment where we take tea breaks together and talk about the neighborhood. Sometimes the orders pile up and we have to stay a bit later to finish everything, but that’s how the garment business goes. We like being in Lakshmi Nagar because it feels like a community. You can hear the sounds of the street and the neighbors while we work. We don't use any fancy software to manage things; it’s mostly just notebooks and pens. It works for us, and it has for a long time. We just keep our heads down and make sure the stitching is solid on every piece we handle. No big plans, just making clothes day by day and keeping things moving along.
