Our foundry is situated at N-2 in the SIDCO Industrial Estate. We have been doing steel castings here for quite a long time. It is heavy work and the heat from the furnace is something you never really forget. Sree Seethalakshmi Steel Castings Pvt. Ltd. is where we spend most of our waking hours. The industrial estate is a busy place, and there is always some kind of noise coming from the neighboring units. We have a set of molds that we use for various jobs, and we try to keep them in good shape. It’s a bit of a rough environment, but the people who work here are used to it. We don't have a fancy showroom or a polished front desk. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes covered in a bit of grit. We just focus on the casting process and making sure the metal is poured right. There are days when things don't go perfectly, and we have to start over on a piece, but that’s just part of the trade. We take it one day at a time and try to keep the machines running smooth. It is a practical business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Most of the guys here have been working these machines since they were young. We just get on with the job.
