Sree Santhosh Garments

We are situated at No. 9- B in MGR Nagar, right off PN Road. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always something going on outside the window. Sree Santhosh Garments has been our daily life for a good while now. The space isn’t very big, so we have to be organized about where we put the thread and the needles. We start early before the sun gets too high, though it still gets stuffy inside by noon. There is a small temple nearby and we can hear the bells every evening when we’re finishing up. The floor is concrete and a bit uneven in places, so the tables sometimes wobble if we don't put a bit of cardboard under the legs. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a place where we sit down and get to work on the garments. Some of the machines are older than the staff, but they still run fine if you know how to treat them. We buy our supplies from the markets down the road and carry them back ourselves. It’s hard work and your back starts to ache after a few hours, but we’re used to it. PN Road is always dusty, so we’re constantly wiping down the tables before we lay out any white cloth. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work for local folks.
