Sree Durga Industries

Our location is 14-A, Uzhaopalar Road, over by the G.N. Mills Post. It is an industrial kind of area, so there is always a lot of activity nearby. Sree Durga Industries has been in this spot for a good while. The building is sturdy and built for work, not for looking pretty. We have a lot of floor space and some small office rooms on the side. The air usually smells a bit like machinery and oil, which is just part of the job. We arrive early before the sun gets too high. The first thing we do is check the equipment and see what the schedule looks like for the day. It’s a noisy environment sometimes, but we don't mind. We have a small crew and everyone has been here long enough to know exactly what they are doing. We don't have any corporate manuals or fancy HR policies. If there is a problem, we just talk it out and fix it. G.N. Mills is a busy hub, so there are always trucks moving in and out of the lane. We have to be careful when we are moving things around. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. We don't spend much time sitting in comfortable chairs. Most of the day is spent on our feet. When the work is done for the day, we feel like we have actually accomplished something tangible. It’s just a regular local industry.
