Our place is No. 1/1230 F in the KMS Apartments. We are in Jothi Nagar, which is part of the Veerapandi area. If you are looking for us, the best way is to find Britannia Labels, as we are right near there. Being in an apartment building means our setup is a bit different than a large factory. We have divided the rooms so that each stage of the work has its own spot. One room is just for the cutting and another is for the final packing. It can get a bit tight when we have a lot of fabric delivered at once, but we make it work. Dharapuram Road is just a short distance away, so it’s easy for the delivery trucks to find us. We have fans running all day to keep the air moving because it can get quite warm inside. There is a small balcony where we sit sometimes to get a bit of fresh air and watch the bikes go by on the street below. Most of the people who work here are from Veerapandi or K-Chettipalayam. We know each other’s families and what is happening in the neighborhood. It is a very local business. We don’t do any fancy marketing or have a website. We just rely on people knowing who we are and the work we do. It’s a quiet and steady life.
